PREVENTION

Participant safety is our highest priority. For this we are taking all measures to prevent or act in case of need. These measures range from a rigorous marking of the route, a selection of trails that do not pose a risk to the participants, the calculation of the time of passage of the runners through the most difficult areas in daytime (also to enjoy the landscape), and the ordering of mandatory elements at all distances.

IN CASE YOU NEED IT

The rescue team will be in charge of Martin Cepi Raffo. They will be strategically located along the route at the main points where there may be risk situations. Those who make up the team are members of recognized rescue institutions in the mountains and wild areas of Bariloche and its surroundings. With extensive experience in planning, coverage and attention in sporting events.

WE RUNNERS AS SECURITY FIRST

The organization can take all preventive measures and count on the best rescue team, but the main safety comes from us; the runners. The first and most rigorous safety measure should be "take care of yourself." What does it mean? That we can take many precautions about ourselves starting with a simple "Am I ready for this distance?" With questions like these we can make many decisions that prevent us from going through bad times or requiring rescue or attention. With simple actions like the following, you will be able to enjoy and you will be taking care of yourself:

  • Respect the mandatory elements prioritizing functionality before weight.
  • Take coat or items that one believes or feels necessary, even if the organization does not indicate it as mandatory.
  • If you feel very exhausted or had an injury or blow in the race, prioritize your health without running the risk of generating a major or permanent problem and that in addition to this situation may compromise the rescue team in a care that could be needed in another more serious situation.
  • Always recharge water.
  • Ingest only solids that you trained
  • Avoid taking risks; This is not the time to jump onto a bigger rock or go down faster than usual to catch up with another participant. It is time to enjoy everything trained, the path traveled and achieve the challenge.
